Traditional feel and control
Who it’s for: Players who like a more classic, connected feel.
ICON is Volkl’s more traditional feel-and-control range; demo it against Vostra / Red Cell.
V-CellClearance only
Older range, clearance stock
Who it’s for: Value-minded players who are happy to consider older stock after checking condition, fit and generation.
V-Cell is Volkl’s previous generation and is now only sold off as clearance. It can be good value, but check condition, generation and the shop’s return terms first.
How to choose
- Start with Vostra / Red Cell for the lead current Volkl demo and the broadest starting point.
- Add ICON when you want a more traditional feel-and-control comparison.
- Only consider V-Cell as previous-generation clearance, after confirming the actual frame, condition and retailer return terms.
- Do not compare a clearance V-Cell listing with a current Vostra / Red Cell frame by price alone; verify the generation and setup first.
Before you buy
Rackets in the same range get updated every year or two, and shops sometimes label the same racket with different years. Before you buy, check the model year, head size and grip on the shop or brand page, and try a demo if you can. V-Cell is the previous generation and is now only sold as clearance stock.
