Who it’s for: Improving and club players who want help creating depth without moving to a spin-first frame.
Boom (2026 Hy-Bor) is Head’s comfort-and-power range. Compare it with Speed if you want more help from the frame and with Extreme if spin is the bigger priority.
Extreme2026
Spin and launch
Who it’s for: Baseline players who shape the ball with topspin and want a higher-launching Head option.
Extreme (2026 Hy-Bor) is Head’s spin range. Demo it alongside Babolat Pure Aero and Yonex VCORE rather than Head’s control rackets.

Classic all-court control
Who it’s for: Players who like a traditional Head control feel with enough all-court versatility for club tennis.
The 2025 Auxetic Radical MP is a 300 g, 98 sq in, 16×19 frame for confident club players. Compare its specs with your current racket before you buy.
Gravity2025 Auxetic
Modern control and feel
Who it’s for: Club and match players who want modern control and feel; a good one to compare with the Wilson Blade.
Gravity is Head’s modern control range, currently on the 2025 Auxetic version. Gravity Zverev 2026 is a special-edition paint job, not a new model.
Prestige2023 · older version
Traditional precision
Who it’s for: Advanced players who already create their own pace and are comfortable with a more traditional, control-focused racket.
Prestige is Head’s most traditional precision racket. The current version dates from 2023, so a newer one may be coming; check the year before you buy.
Instinct2025
Comfort and easy handling
Who it’s for: Players prioritising comfort, easier handling and a less demanding route into Head.
Head says the 2025 Instinct uses its Auxetic technology for easy power and a high level of comfort, and there are lighter, larger-head versions such as the Team L. UK shops carry fewer Instinct models than Boom, so check what is in stock.
How to choose
- Choose Speed when you want the safest all-court starting point.
- Choose Boom when easy depth and plush power matter more than spin.
- Choose Extreme when topspin and launch are the point of the demo.
- Look at Radical, Gravity or Prestige when you create your own pace and want a more control-led response; Gravity Zverev 2026 is the same Gravity in special colours.
- Keep Instinct in the conversation for comfort and handling, though UK shops stock fewer Instinct models than Boom.
Before you buy
